Seine-Normandy Water Agency

The Seine-Normandy Water Agency is a public establishment of the State, placed under the supervision of two ministries: the Ministry in charge of Ecology and the Ministry in charge of Finance.
The Water Agency finances the works and actions which contribute to the preservation of water resources and the fight against pollution, while respecting the development of economic activities, in its area of competence: the Seine and Normandy coastal river basin.
To do so, it collects fees from all users. These are redistributed in the form of subsidies and/or advances to local authorities, industrialists, craftsmen, farmers or associations that undertake actions to protect the natural environment.
Technical support is also part of the role of the water agency.
