By bringing together participants from all levels and fields, including politics, multilateral institutions, academia, civil society and the private sector, the World Water Forum offers a unique platform where the international water community and key decision-makers can collaborate and make progress together on global water challenges.
Over the years, the number of people attending the Forum has grown from a few hundred to tens of thousands, from both the international community and the host countries.
The Bali Forum, whose theme is “Water for Shared Prosperity”, will focus on six priorities:
- Prosperity and water security
- Water for humanity and nature
- Disaster risk reduction and management
- Governance, Cooperation and Hydro-diplomacy
- Sustainable water finance
- Knowledge and innovation
