TENEVIA creates innovative solutions for surveillance, forecasting and management of water resources and the environment. It works on supplying digital monitoring and decision-making systems combining measuring and forecasting solutions. Thanks to its unique know-how, it designs measurement sensors and modelling software that meet the operational needs of actors on the field and decision-makers.
The proposed solution will make it possible to:
- Monitor watercourse dynamics (rising and receding waters) to facilitate simultaneous decisions made by people without hydrometric expertise (e.g. elected representatives);
- Anticipate the local state of the watercourse and the propagation of flood waves towards downstream areas, using devices placed upstream;
- Obtain hydrometric variables such as water depth; rapidly establish and frequently update the relationship between the depth of water and flow (rating curve);
- Estimate flows in different stretches to improve knowledge necessary to size installations (protection, storage, dynamic flood retention, etc.) and draw up land-planning documents and strategies;
- Provide information needed for operating a future early warning system that will make it easier to anticipate hydrological risks with real-time adjustment (data assimilation) of hydrometerological forecasts.
