SIAAP (Greater Paris Sanitation Authority)
SIAAP (the Greater Paris Sanitation Authority) is the Paris Region public wastewater service. It transports and treats wastewater for about 9 million people in and around Paris (Paris Region), along with stormwater and industrial water, contributing to a thriving natural environment in the Seine and the Marne rivers.
SIAAP and its 1 700 employees treat around 2.5 million cubic meters of water every day, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. They manage and operate 440 km of pipes and six treatment plants : Seine Downstream (Seine aval (78)), Seine Upstream (Seine amont (94)), Seine Centre (92), Marne Downstream (Marne aval (93)), Seine Grésillons (78) and Seine Morée (93).
