Initiatives for the Future of Great Rivers
Initiatives for the Future of Great Rivers (IFGR) is an original space for dialogue - international, multidisciplinary, open to stakeholders and action-oriented - between rivers from all over the world. It brings their voices to the heart of the debates on water and climate change. Its creation stems from a simple observation: faced with today's climatic and environmental issues (energy production, food security, health, mobility, etc.), rivers are the bearers of solutions for a more sustainable and environmentally friendly world.
Created by CNR, manager of the Rhône River and the leading producer of 100% renewable energy in France, IFGR is a public interest association chaired by Erik Orsenna, economist and member of the French Academy.
