Water governance: first and foremost a territorial dynamic

Tuesday 21 May 2024, 10am - 11am

Integrated water resources management makes the hydrographic basin the relevant scale for public policies related to water. More than a model, this governance is in fact a permanent dynamic, capable of adapting the scope of intervention to the issues and actors in the territories (local scale, for example around a catchment or a river). , sub-basin, basin including in its transnational scale…). The requirement to adapt to the impacts of climate change makes the sharing of knowledge, agility and innovation in the organization of stakeholders, and the appropriation of priorities by citizens even more strategic.

Purpose:

Promote the possibility of structuring variable scales of governance with regard to the conditions offered by the territories at stake, both in the historical IWRM basins and in the southern basins.
