Water, Agroecology and Sustainable Development
Agriculture is one of the most water-intensive sectors, faced with the need to maintain food security for all, having to avoid overexploitation of the resource, all in a context impacted by climate change and hydraulic stress. increased. This session will provide an overview of agroecology as a solution for better use of water in line with the sustainable development goals of the 2030 Agenda, allowing a cross-dialogue between Indonesian and French expertise. It will highlight the need to break down sectors, actors and scales: from local initiatives to the role of the private sector, including international coalitions. This event will illustrate how agroecology and agroforestry can be nature-based solutions that protect soils, ecosystems and water resources while ensuring food security on a global scale.

Cet événement invitera à rejoindre la Coalition mondiale pour l’agroécologie et permettra de partager une connaissance des pratiques agroécologiques de gestion de l’eau, issue de l’expérience indonésienne et française en Indonésie. Il fournira des exemples d’études de cas concrets et de solutions basées sur la nature, en s’adressant à une diversité de parties prenantes.
