Supporting the Namibian government’s fight against drought

Between 2021 and 2023 the French Geologic Survey has suported the Namibian government (Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform and Ministry of Environment Forestry and Tourism) in the evaluation of climate change Impact on groundwater resources of the Kunene and Omusati Regions, NW of Namibia. The study lead to the mapping of an economically mobilisable resource and water stress at 2050 horizon.
Purpose:
Scientific dissemination. Lessons from the Namibian case study.
