BRGM IS FRANCE’S LEADING PUBLIC INSTITUTION WORKING IN EARTH SCIENCE APPLICATIONS FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF SURFACE AND SUBSURFACE RESOURCES AND RISKS.

Its action is oriented towards scientific research, public policy support and international cooperation. Water resources management in the context of climate and global change is at the heart of its actions. The brgm is involved in the identification of pollutants and of contaminants transfer within aquifers, water databases, socio-economic assessment of protective/management measures and development of sustainable integrated water management with maintenance/restoration of quality, flood risk prevention due to water table rise.
