Chers abonnés, chers membres, chers partenaires,
Quelques lignes au cœur de l’été pour partager avec vous la nouvelle édition de l’initiative ART’s PLANET by ENERGIES 2050 et ses partenaires. L’été ne doit pas nous faire oublier que le changement climatique et ses conséquences sont une réalité pour un nombre sans cesse grandissant de citoyens. Des citoyens qui souvent sont obligés de quitter leurs familles, leurs terres et leur histoire collective pour essayer de trouver ailleurs, des conditions de vie plus décentes pour eux et leurs proches.
Il s’agit aussi de ne pas oublier que les atteintes à l’environnement sont sans cesse plus importantes et que protéger la biodiversité et les terres sur lesquelles nous vivons restent pour beaucoup d’entre nous très compliqué, étant confronté à des impératifs économiques de court-terme et des nations trop souvent concentrées sur leurs seuls intérêts.
Pour ENERGIES 2050, tous ces défis nous tiennent éveillés et plus que jamais mobilisés. Le futur que nous voulons sera celui que chacun d’entre nous aura contribué à créer. Nous le voulons solidaire, respectueux des ressources naturelles et porteur d’une prospérité partagée et nous invitons chacun d’entre vous à se mobiliser à nos côtés. Participez à une exposition internationale artistique et citoyenne présentée lors de la COP23 à Bonn
Prenez part à une initiative artistique et citoyenne internationale dans le cadre d’ART’s PLANET organisée à l’occasion de la 23ème Conférence des Parties (COP23 – Bonn, Allemagne du 6 au 17 novembre 2017) à la Convention-cadre des Nations Unies sur les changements climatiques (CCNUCC). Pour l’édition 2017, le thème est le suivant :
« Climat, Migration et Solidarité : L’Art du Collectif »
La procédure, les conditions de participation et autres documents utiles sont disponibles sur : http://artsplanet2017.energies2050.org. L’objectif de l’initiative est d’impliquer les citoyens et artistes du monde entier au sein d’une exposition d’art interactive, de produire un rapport de plaidoyer et un livre d’art et, enfin, de soutenir des projets concrets en faveur des migrants climatiques et des communautés vulnérables.
Pour offrir aux citoyens, et surtout aux jeunes et à la communauté artistique, une opportunité de s’exprimer librement et de participer à leur manière aux défis majeurs auxquels nos sociétés sont confrontées. Ensuite, l’édition 2017 d’ART’s PLANET vise à renforcer son impact en contribuant directement à des projets de durabilité. Dans cette optique, une enchère internationale des œuvres reçues et offertes par les artistes sera mise en place après l’exposition, à la fin de la COP23.
Présentation de l’initiative et partenaires :
Chaque participant doit faire une performance artistique en lien avec sa perception du changement climatique et des problèmes de migration associés. Tous les participants sont encouragés à utiliser, le cas échéant, des matériaux de récupération et à faire en sorte que leur projet soit collaboratif. Il s’agit ensuite de photographier la performance artistique afin d’exposer les photos (haute qualité) lors de la COP23 et enfin :
- d’envoyer directement l’œuvre à Bonn (pour ceux qui le désirent),
- ou de conserver l’installation dans des locaux dédiés pour une exposition locale (pour ceux qui décideraient de ne pas envoyer leurs travaux à Bonn).

La participation est libre et gratuite. Toute contribution est la bienvenue et il n’y a aucune restriction pour participer à l’exposition. Les participants peuvent être des villes, des autorités locales, des quartiers, des groupes de personnes, des associations, des artistes ou des communautés d’artistes, des individus… Chacun aura l’occasion avec sa propre performance de participer à une action mondiale.

Dear subscribers, members and partners,
This is the heart of summer and we are very pleased to share with you the new edition of the initiative ART’s PLANET by ENERGIES 2050 and its partners. Summertime should not make us forget that climate change and its consequences are a reality for an ever-increasing number of citizens. Citizens who are often forced to leave their families, their lands and their collective history in the hope of finding elsewhere living conditions that are more decent for themselves and their loved ones.
It is also important to bear in mind that environmental damage is increasingly important and that protecting biodiversity and the land we live on remains a complex issue for many of us, as we are embedded in short term economic imperatives, and as most countries tend to focus on their own interests.
For ENERGIES 2050, all these challenges keep us awake and more than ever mobilized. The future we want is the one that each of us would have contributed to create. We want it to be based on solidarity, respectful of natural resources and of a shared prosperity, and we invite each of you to be mobilized with us. You are more than 20,000 to receive this newsletter and we would like all of you to join us as followers on our social networks (Facebook and twitter), to live with us the life of the association.

The Team ENERGIES 2050
Participate to an international citizen and art performance to be displayed during COP23 in Bonn
Take part in an international citizen and art initiative under ART’s PLANET to be held during the 23rd Conference of the Parties (COP23 – Bonn, Germany, from the 6th to the 17th of November 2017) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). For the 2017 edition, the theme is:
“Climate, Migration and Solidarity: the Art of Collectiveness”
Procedure, conditions for participation and documentation are available at: http://artsplanet2017.energies2050.org?lang=en The objectives of the initiative are to engage citizens and artists worldwide through an interactive art exhibition, to produce an advocacy report along with an art book and to support concrete projects to help climate migrants and vulnerable communities.
To offer citizens, and especially young people and the art community, an opportunity to freely express themselves and participate in their own way to the major challenges our societies are facing. Secondly, ART’s PLANET 2017 edition aims to strengthen its impact by making a direct contribution to sustainability projects. To that extent, an international auction with offered artworks by artists will be organized at the end of COP23 to raise funds for climate actions. Each participant have to make an artistic performance linked with its perception of climate change and migration. All contributors is encouraged to use when possible recycled materials and to make the project a collective and collaborative one. The objective will then be to capture the performance with high quality pictures that will be exposed during COP23 and either to:
- send the artwork to Bonn (for those who want),
- display the artworks for a local exhibition (for those who decide not to send the artwork to Bonn).

Participation is free and every contribution is welcome and there is no restriction for participating to the exhibition. Involved participants can be cities, local authorities, neighbourhoods, groups, NGOs, artists or communities of artists, individuals… Everyone will have the opportunity with its own performance to take part of a global action.
